It's The Final Countdown!
On March 22nd in "The Great White North", Metroid Prime Hunters and Tetris DS hit the NDS and Nintendo's Wi-Fi Network. I'm pumped. Especialy for Metroid.
Metroid has become my favourite Nintendo series. Remember playing Metroid Prime for the first time on the GC? Holy crap! What an experience that was. It's still a fantastic game, one that requires as much brain work as trigger bashin' fun. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes is even better with the whole light-dark world thing goin' on. What a great franchise. I can't wait to see this series on the Revolution. Metroid Prime 3 must be a launch title for the Revolution. It has to be. Nintendo's just gotta come out with a bang, Halo style with a title that's huge, bold and an online intergalactic war.
Then we've got our classic Metroids in the form of Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fussion. The GBA titles rock old school style, hailing back the days of the original NES Metroid, GB Metroid II and SNES Super Metroid. Remember playing the original Metroid and discovering apon a sweet completion time who Samus realy was? Holy crap! Nintendo, you rock!
The series just enjoyed it's first spin-off title in the form of Metroid Prime Pinball for the NDS. If you like or don't like pinball, you have to play this game. Damn, it's fun! Ranks right up there with my Sonic Pinball Party and Pokemon Pinball. It's a great, great game!
Now the series ventures forward less than 2 weeks on the NDS. Metroid Prime Hunters is gonna be huge. The title's single player adventure is going to be as long as a GC Prime adventure. The multiplayer Wi-Fi is going to be huge... Halo 2 huge. The graphic engine is phenominal. Have you see videos of this baby in motion? Trust me, goto Nintendo's site and check it out. Plus, we all know it's going to play fantastic thanks to that Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo.
That's what I like about Metroid, every title that's come from this epic series is solid. Great graphics, sound, music (oh the music... damn it's fine), animation and most importantly gameplay. March 22nd, 2006 is gonna be an early Christmas. Plus yo, Tetris DS! A Tetris title developed once again by Nintendo... There is a God!
